The recall affects about 790 units sold on Amazon between January 2025 and May 2025 for about $22 per set. Consumers who purchase these items are eligible for a full refund from the seller.

According to the recall notice, the party supply toys violate the federal mandatory safety standard for toys containing button cell batteries. The battery compartment on some of the light-up items can be easily opened by children, exposing them to the small button cell or coin batteries inside. This defect poses a severe ingestion hazard.

When swallowed, the button cell or coin batteries can cause serious harm to children, including internal chemical burns, severe injuries, and even death ⁽²⁾.
