According to the company, the issue arises when the screws connecting the legs are not properly tightened during assembly, resulting in the legs separating from the frame.

The Bugaboo Giraffe High Chair, renowned for its sleek design and modern aesthetic, measures approximately 30 inches in height, 21 inches in width, and 23 inches in depth ⁽¹⁾. It was sold in five different colors and item code combinations: Blue (code 200008005), Black (200008004), Neutral Wood/White (200008002), Warm Wood/Gray (200008003), and White (200008001).

This recall affects about 18,280 units sold in the United States and an additional 2,325 units sold in Canada. The Giraffe High Chairs were available at specialty retailers, including Nordstrom, as well as major online platforms like Amazon and Bugaboo’s official website. They were sold between May 2023 and April 2025, with a retail price of about $380.

As of the recall date, Bugaboo has received 22 reports of the high chair legs detaching, including 13 incidents that resulted in minor injuries to children. Although no severe injuries or fatalities have been reported so far, the potential for harm is significant enough to warrant immediate action.
