The Kelce Talks Vasectomy and Maybe Baby No. 5

Kylie Kelce is keeping it real about life with four kids and what might come next. After welcoming baby Finnley in March, she admitted she’s “glad” her husband Jason Kelce has been talking openly about getting a vasectomy.

It seems Kylie might be wrapping up her own version of team-building. Just a month after she and Jason welcomed their fourth daughter, Finnley. 

“My husband was on a podcast recently and was referencing a vasectomy,” Kylie told Amanda Hirsch on the April 22 episode of her Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast “I was like, ‘I’m glad you’re throwing that out into the universe.’”

It’s not just public chatter, either. She added that the two have “been in discussions” about it privately as well. Still, nothing’s finalized

“I’ve always said I wanted four kids, and room for, like, one pleasant surprise,” Kylie Kelce said, adding, “If we had five kids, I’d be like, ‘OK, that’s enough. We need to stop.’”

Kylie might be done having babies, but she’s not completely ruling out one more, the kind of unexpected addition she jokingly refers to as a “pleasant surprise.” Though she’s been open about not enjoying pregnancy, she admitted she couldn’t shake the feeling that her family wasn’t complete until baby Finnley arrived.

“When [Bennett] hit about a year and some change, I had this moment of ‘Oh, I forgot one’ because I kept thinking I forgot the baby,” she recalled. “And then I’m like ‘S–t no. All my toddlers are here.’ I had three kids.” That strange sense of someone missing only grew stronger as Bennett started becoming more independent.

“The switch that happened was when our youngest really started acting like a toddler,” Kylie explained. “My brain started saying, ‘You’re forgetting the baby.’”

Even though she didn’t love the pregnancy experience, the thought of baby No. 4 stuck and never really left.

“I did not approach our third as if it were going to be my last,” she added. “And so I have this mental block where I think that one more baby is right.”

As for Jason, he seems to be on the same page, at least when it comes to taking a break from the baby game as he said- “I think Kylie’s about coming to the end of wanting to pop these things out,” Jason said on the Feb. 21 episode of The Steam Room podcast. “I think this pregnancy has been a long one for her.”
