Vanessa Kirby Welcomes First Baby with Boyfriend Paul Rabil

Vanessa Kirby and her boyfriend, Paul Rabil, have welcomed their first child together. Rabil shared the joyful news in a post on Instagram on Sunday, October 19, with a carousel of intimate photographs: one of him cradling their newborn, another of Vanessa and the baby lying together on a bed, the baby's foot, and a final image of two lacrosse sticks; a nod to his sporting background.

In his caption, Rabil wrote: “I’m learning that becoming a parent slows you down and wakes you up at the same time. That I’m really grateful for everyone’s health, that I get to wake up every day to mum’s enormous love, and that we get to have you in our lives now.” He also added, “For your first cradle stick. It’ll hold many stories and blessings. Likely broken windows, too. Balls are allowed in the house.” 

The announcement immediately led to an outpouring of congratulatory messages across his Instagram account from both fans and fellow celebrities expressing joy at the news, praising Vanessa and Paul, and sending warm wishes for their growing family. Some comments said, “love this. Dad strength and dad jokes incoming”, “God bless!! Welcome to the club”, and another said “being a dad is like scoring the game, winning goal every day!”

While the couple has not revealed the baby’s name, gender, or exact date of birth, most fans in the comments believe that it's a girl and are excited to meet her soon. And although Rabil’s public post confirms the arrival of their child and his gratitude to Vanessa for this new chapter, Vanessa Kirby has not yet issued her own public announcement or statement on social media.

Vanessa Kirby and Paul Rabil first sparked rumors of a possible romance in October 2022, when they were spotted holding hands during a walk in New York City. However, the couple publicly confirmed their relationship over a year later in November 2023, when Rabil posted a heartfelt public message on his Instagram account about their relationship. Paul wrote, “From the very minute we first met in Des Moines, around the world and back, life is far better, more purposeful and more beautiful with you.”

The couple has kept much of their relationship private, surfacing only occasional photos during couple getaways and red-carpet events. Rumors indicate that they became engaged way back in December of 2024; however, neither of them has publicly confirmed the news of the proposal.

Vanessa Kirby is a British actress who rose to stardom through roles like Princess Margaret in ‘The Crown’ and later joined major movie franchises like ‘Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning’ and the ‘Fantastic Four reboot’. 

Paul Rabil is a former professional lacrosse star turned entrepreneur. He played at Johns Hopkins University, competed in both Major League Lacrosse and the National Lacrosse League, and co-founded the Premier Lacrosse League. Beyond sports, Rabil also leads Rabil Ventures and Rabil Companies, applying his competitive mindset to business.
